From Finland

Greeting from Pikku-Kuusis!
Our Kindergarten, Päiväkoti Kuusimäki, locates in Lempäälä, Finland.
In our kindergarten we have seven groups. Our group is called Pikku-Kuusis. We have 27 kids in our group and five adults. Our kids are 2-5 years old, adults are little bit older. :)
We are curious and action-packed group, and we love to tell stories, make our own movies and take photos. We love to dance and sing and often we do organize our own music concert.
We have designed these characters, Taika, Kaura and Zein. We are so interested ablout this website -project and we are waiting so much to see what kind of pictures the other groups will take and what kind of stories they will tell.

Greetings from Karhumäki!
Our group Karhumäki is also one of the seven groups of Päiväkoti Kuusimäki, just like Pikku-Kuusis, located in Lempäälä. We have two childgroups here in our house; called Mesimassut and Pörrötassut. Our children are 1-5 years old. We are excited to tell different stories together and that’s why we wanted to take a part in this project. Children grow up with stories and their imagination is amazing. We are all waiting to see where this project will lead us to.

Greetings from Kyläseppä!
Kindergarden Kyläseppä is nice. It’s funny to play here. This is nice and safe place to be in. You can learn all kind’s of things here. We have good food. It’s fun to go to the forest. It’s fun to play with snow. Sometimes it’s a good day and sometimes it’s a bad.
We in pre-school are active. We behave well and we are good. We are all friends. Some can already read and write. We can walk nicely in line and we make many trips around our kindergarten. We have a place in forest where we can play. We have made our own tree of rules. We thought those rules together.

Greetings from Luhtaa!
Our kindergarten, Luhtaan päiväkoti, is big and new, as our unit just celebrated its first birthday! We are located in Tampere, in the middle of Finland. In our kindergarten we have a science room, an art room, a room for playing house and one for building things. We have 5 groups in our kindergarten and our group name is Soinnut. In our group we have 19 kids between 1-5 years and 3 adults. We have a place in the forest that we visit and play at weekly. We also study and examine the nature around us. It's fun to meet friends here and play store and doctor, and we also like to play a lot with legos.

Greetings from Puuhapirtti and Tenavatupa!
Our kindergarten, Helapuiston päiväkoti, is located in Hervanta, Tampere. We have six groups here and these two are part of this Taikatarinat-project. In our kindergarten we use active learning method (It is lightly based on the high-scope method). Taking part of this Taikatarina-project follows naturally our way of doing things.
What children of Puuhapirtti and Tenavatupa say about our kindergarten for example: Our kindergarten is long, very long. We have five groups and there is one group upstairs also. We have lots of fun and different kind of plays here and we do some incredible things. It is nice that we can do some gymnastic and have outdoor activities. We can bring our own toy from home with us everyday. We are all friends and it is nice to come to kindergarten and see all my friends. Our kindergarten is full of children.
